For 3 years Jesus has been avoiding the spotlight. He heals people and tells them to keep quiet. He slips away from crowds. He refuses attempts to make Him king.

The value we place on Jesus determines what we’re willing to sacrifice for Him.

Obedience to the Word is the hallmark of a true believer.

We often describe our lives before being born again as being “slaves to sin” or a “prisoner of the world, flesh and devil.” Now those descriptions are most certainly biblical and true. However, notice in our verse something that we might overlook.

True freedom comes from being a servant of Jesus Christ.
